Community Involvement

We have carefully chosen a handful of organisations to sponsor. You will see they are community based, and that reflects our belief that everyone can make a difference in their community and we show this by supporting the people in it. Have a read, who knows you may like to support them yourself or join us on one of our adventures as we raise money for these worthwhile causes.

Graeme Dingle Foundation – Kiwi Can

Kiwi Can is a values and life skills programme designed for primary and intermediate school students (5-12 year olds). Right now it reaches 15,000 children in 69 schools around the country (GO Kiwi Can!), delivering a range of awesome physical, mental and creative challenges - plus high-energy, fun, safe and interactive lessons that reinforce the schools' goals and curriculum. We believe it's an amazing programme and like the fact that this can make a difference to our community by supporting our youth. Important stuff. You can read more here

Blue September

We are very happy to support this cause wholly directed at men's health. Geoff is very open about having some health issues in the past, and talking about his journey to wellness.   Blue September is about Prostate Cancer and raising the awareness of prevention and detection.  There is a great website where you can read more about it.  And every September we hold a fundraising breakfast in conjunction with Warren Croft and Fair Weathers.

Outward Bound

We are great admirers of Outward Bound, and we believe what they do fits perfectly with our philosophy of giving back to our community. We offer an annual scholarship for the superb 8 day Discovery course for a person in our community who is between the ages of 27-35 and who needs a little direction in their life. Outward Bound say the following about this course...

  • Take time out from family, work and technology with the eight-day Discovery course.

  • You’ll spend time rediscovering yourself and your values, challenging ingrained limitations of what is possible.

  • Armed with a new understanding of self, you’ll then focus on your personal goals.

  • Discovery is a compact Outward-Bound experience. It’s a high energy course with little downtime but still perfectly balanced for those looking for physical challenge and those seeking a reflective experience...

If this interests you keep an eye on our newsletter, applications open in November each year, and the course runs in May.

Kakapo Recovery Programme

Did you know there are less than 150 kakapo left? Knowing this we decided to adopt one …well on paper anyway. Her name is Kuia - and we couldn't be prouder adoptive parents. The Kakapo Recovery Programme is doing some amazing work to ensure this native bird stays around a bit longer. You can read more here.

Hospice Trust

We have been involved with the Marlborough Hospice for years and are very proud to be supporting this wonderful organisation. We offer our services and provide the end of year financial statements preparation. We also provide support in other ways and you may see them here at TvA using our (very) board room for fundraising committee meetings.

Business Trust Marlborough

This organisation is doing some really good work in our business community. If you are new to business or just starting and need some direction we recommend you get in touch with these people and they will give you some good guidance and advice.
